  • Should we always attempt to own/jailbreak/reinstall everything? I’ve recently got a Kindle and while I was considering jailbreaking it, the risk of bricking is high for this particular model/firmware. In the end I settled for asking Amazon to remove the irrelevant ads from the device, which they did. Since jailbreaking would not added much more functionality (a better pdf reader, ability to change screensavers and to run a terminal), is there any point?
